Turkey is considered an important agriculture growth country in the Eurasia region. Good reason for Massey Ferguson to launch its new 2700 and 3700 tractor series during the recently held Konya trade show in Turkey, thus signifying the company’s commitment to this market .
Earlier this year, AGCO Corporation and SDF Group from Italy signed a partnership agreement for the production and assembly of Massey Ferguson tractors in the low-midrange horsepower segment.
Based on MF specifications, these tractor series went in production quite promptly in SDF facilities in India and Turkey. Both MF 2700 and MF 3700 ranges are produced in these two countries, depending on the market to be served. The new product ranges complement MF’s full tractor lineup, spanning from a 20 hp sub-compact to the flagship 425 hp 9S tractor.
The 2700 range consists of 3 platform models of 50, 55 and 65 hp respectively and are available in both 2WD and 4WD versions. The 3700 series consists of six models, ranging from 55-75 hp, all in 4WD. In order to meet with current emission standards in major parts of the world, both series feature 3-cylinder Stage V compliant engines.
The MF 2700 series feature mechanical 8/2, 12/3, 8/8 and 12/12 transmissions, whereas MF 3700 features mechanical and powershuttle options with 15/15 and 30/30 transmission speeds.
The cab option is available on the 65 and 75 hp models of the MF 3700 series in Turkey. .
The new tractors will be launched and marketed through the MF networks globally later this year, with the exception of Europe and India.
With the introduction of the new MF 2700 and MF 3700 series, Massey Ferguson ensures that customers can rely on the MF user experience, not just through the final product, but also through AGCO’s parts and service support.
