Versatile spring tine cultivator

With the Finer XL, Horsch launches a versatile spring tine cultivator. Thus the company extends the existing 3-point line by a trailed machine to cover a wider range of use. Moreover, the trailed technology allows for cultivating with smaller tractors.

The Finer XL can be used all year long: from stubble cultivation to seedbed preparation to mechanical weed control. The core responsibilities include shallow tillage from 2 to 10 cm and all-over cutting. The Finer XL is currently available in 7 m and 8 m working width.

For the trailed technology, adaptions were made in the tine positioning. The 6-bar tine zone with a tine spacing of 15 cm together with the proven point range, optionally with a 5 cm or 20 cm wing point, provides the flexibility to use the Finer XL for stubble cultivation, as well as for seedbed preparation. All-over cutting is possible too. Due to the bar spacing of 52 cm, the clearance of the Finer XL is fairly high. Thus, the machine mixes well, even if there are a lot of organic residues.

The spring tine cultivator does not only work well, due to a wide range of applications but also thanks to its low weight and the stable frame design with transport wheels in the middle. These wheels ensure an enormous robustness even in challenging conditions. The combination of depth control wheels in the front, contour following and a single or double packer in the rear ensure a precise depth control even when working shallowly.

The wide range of combination options of packers and harrows allows for adapting the machine optimally to any site and for using it in different conditions.

Larger and smaller working widths to the Finer XL will follow, as well as a version with only a harrow and without a packer.
