Triple tank for efficiency & flexibility

With the new Avatar 12 LC, Horsch completes the Avatar seeder line with a high capacity machine, that meets the increasing requirements on efficiency. The currently available 12-meter version has a row spacing of 25 cm and differs from the models of the Avatar SD line mainly with regard to the hopper system.

The triple compartment tank of the Avatar LC has a total capacity of 9 400 l, divided into 4 580 l, 1 530 l and 3 290 l (50:15:35). This allows for a flexible application of up to three components at the same time. As an option, the machine can also be equipped with a MiniDrill to apply up to four components and increase flexibility even further.

The Avatar LC is equipped with the proven “SingleDisc” single disc coulter which was specially designed for the Avatar series and is continuously developed further. This results in a wide range of applications from direct seeding and mulch seeding to seeding with the offset method. The depth control wheel ensures precise seed placement.

There are plans to add equipment options to the Avatar series in the future. These include the AutoForce automatic coulter pressure regulation system and the RowControl distribution tower.

As an option, the Avatar LC can be equipped with trash wheels to easily handle larger quantities of straw. The trailed arrangement of the trash wheels allows for perfect contour following as each individual trash wheel can be adjusted individually. This contour following is important as for direct seeding as little soil as possible, should be moved. Due to the trailed arrangement, the organic material is removed superficially, and the soil is only interfered with to a minor degree.

The machine concept complies with CoC specifications and is therefore authorized for use on public roads in Europe.
