Oxbo, specialist in specialty harvesting and controlled application equipment, recently celebrated the grand opening of its newest manufacturing facility in Uberaba, Brazil.

At the grand opening event, Oxbo executives welcomed Elisa Araújo, the Mayor of Uberaba and many other influential local officials, customers, and industry partners to a ceremony, ribbon cutting and tour. To conclude the event, Oxbo customer, Antonio Coimbra Filho, was given the key to his new Oxbo 9240+ coffee harvester, the first harvester produced in Uberaba.

“We are thrilled to welcome Oxbo to Uberaba,” said Romeu Zema, Governor of Minas Gerais. “The investment in our community will create quality jobs and further establish Uberaba as a hub for manufacturing excellence.”

“This facility represents a significant milestone for Oxbo as we continue to invest in innovation and growth to better serve our customers in Brazil,” said Roel Zeevat, CEO of Oxbo. “We were pleased to invest approximately R$50m (USD 8.8 million) and excited to bring new opportunities and 70 jobs to Uberaba and to contribute to the economic development of the region.”

The 96.000 square meter facility, a project made possible in part through the assistance of the Secretaria de Estado de Desenvolvimento Econômico (Sede-MG) and its agency Invest Minas, is equipped with the latest technology to enhance efficiency and sustainability. This will allow Oxbo do Brasil to better serve its agricultural customers, streamline supply chains, and reinforce its commitment to high-quality manufacturing.

Oxbo’s Uberaba location is well designed to support company growth in Brazil and South America. Oxbo is hiring skilled employees in Uberaba to develop, manufacture, and support coffee harvesters, seed corn equipment, and other Oxbo products.
