Faresin Industries expands its electric mixer wagon series with the new Leader PF 1.17 Full Electric, a 17-cubic-meter machine. This decision aligns with the company’s commitment to a more sustainable and technologically advanced agricultural sector.
Like the other models in the Leader PF FE series, the Leader PF 1.17 FE is designed for farms focused on sustainability and energy efficiency with higher work capacity needs. The new Leader PF 1.17 FE expands a series introduced in 2023 with Faresin’s first electric mixer wagon.
Electric propulsion provides both operational and economic benefits. Operationally, the increased torque of electric motors has made the loading auger even more efficient, enhancing performance in handling wrapped hay bales. Economically, the Leader PF 1.17 FE reduces operating costs by over 70% compared to an equivalent diesel model. An advantage that grows for farms with solar panels, allowing access to zero-cost electricity.
Additional benefits include enhanced animal welfare and reduced environmental impact. The nearly silent electric motor significantly lowers ambient noise, contributing to animal comfort. Environmentally, the electric version prevents approximately 45 tons of CO₂ emissions annually, equivalent to the fuel consumption of a transatlantic Boeing 747 flight.
The Leader PF 1.17 FE is powered by a 91.3 kW, 210 Ah lithium battery, providing enough autonomy for four feed mixes. The “Universal Charge” system, compatible with 220V single-phase or 400V three-phase networks, recharges in around four hours.
The traction system, driven by a 51 kW electric motor, powers all four wheels, ensuring traction and stability in any work condition. Its off-road capabilities are reinforced by oil-bath disc brakes and limited-slip axles, making it well-suited for challenging terrains like mud or ice.
The cab of the Leader PF offers a comfortable and safe driving experience, with all machine functions controlled through a large 10-inch display.
The entire Leader PF Full Electric series benefits from Faresin Industries’ support services, such as the real-time nutritional content monitoring and mix homogeneity verification system (NIR system), which signals the optimal unloading time. This solution optimizes animal feeding, boosting productivity.
Data management applications are also available, allowing integration of scale data and autonomous collection of farm data and raw material price trends to optimize productivity and minimize costs. Faresin introduces an application that not only collects data but also uses artificial intelligence to manage herds and provide optimal recommendations to farmers.
