Robust Diamant 18 for professionals

The Lemken Diamant 16 semi-mounted reversible plough was launched in 2018. The series has now been complemented by the Diamant 18 model for large scale operations.

Whether for traditional in-furrow ploughing or, for on-land ploughing, whether used as a stand-alone machine or in combination with a furrow press, the Diamant series has always offered a wide range of applications to meet individual farm requirements for shallow or deep tillage. The environment in which agricultural businesses operate, calls for high performance implements.

With its 5 to 8 furrows and a solid 180 x 180 x 12.5 mm box section frame, the Diamant 18 is specially designed for large tractors up to 650 hp and extreme operating conditions. The new plough performs particularly well on dry soils thanks to its optimum soil penetration and stable design. This is not only due to its increased weight, but also to the updated wheel position. To make the best possible use of the extra frame weight for optimum soil penetration, the support wheel is now located behind the base frame. As a result, the plough bodies penetrate the soil reliably and maintain the desired working depth consistently.

Convenient handling

The new wheel position results in a lower centre of gravity so that the plough is subjected to lower rotational forces and there is less strain on the rear lift. This not only protects the plough components, but also ensures high tipping stability of the tractor/plough combination and a smooth ride. Despite its extended wheelbase, the Diamant 18 offers agility and comfortable handling, even when compared to the Diamant 16, thanks to an innovative steering system for the transport wheel. The hydraulic steering of the transport wheel automatically adapts the steering angle to the turning manoeuvre and, in combination with the 90-degree steering angle on the plough headstock, enables the smallest possible turning radii at the headland. The transport wheel can also be actively controlled and manually steered for manoeuvring work.

The Diamant 18 will be available in small numbers from 2025, with full series production starting in 2026.
