The awards for the Technical Innovations competition at the upcoming EIMA tradeshow in Bologna, Italy, have been published. A total of 68 awards were given: 20 for “Technical Innovation”, and 48 for “Mentions”.

An international jury of experts recognized machines and products, offering innovative high technological content. All these products will be on display in the Quadriportico area of the Bologna trade fair for the entire duration of the event. The innovations represent every segment in the ag machinery business which are  present at EIMA, ranging from tractors to implements and self-propelled machines, and from components to even specialized electronics.

Currently, the agriculture sector is called upon producing food for a rapidly growing population, oriented towards higher quality consumption. At the same time the sector has to meet with climatic and environmental needs. Thus, productivity, sustainability and quality are the key challenges that agricultural economies around the world will have to face in the coming years. This can be overcome through the development of highly innovative technologies. The main architect of the change in the primary sector is therefore the agricultural machinery industry, which is seeing an increase in investments in research and development to raise the standards.

Innovation has always been a large part of EIMA International and it is precisely for this reason that the great Bologna exhibition is an important meeting place for professionals in the ag machinery business. More than 1,700 exhibitors will be on display during the upcoming show in Bologna, which will take place from November 6-10.
