Kverneland FastBale Premium achieved a world record for the most amount of wrapped bales produced within 24 hours. On a field in Sweden the attempt resulted in a record of 1,587 wrapped round bales made.

A team from Kverneland Group Sweden embarked on a world record attempt at the farm of Bro Godås in Säffle, Sweden, last July. The objective was to achieve the maximum number of bales produced within 24 hours of continuous operation.

In preparation, 105 hectares of heavy grass were pre-cut. At 17:00, Oscar Svantesson Mander initiated the challenge using a 240 hp tractor and the latest Kverneland Non-Stop Baler-Wrapper combination, the “Kverneland FastBale Premium.”

The record was accomplished under full practical conditions, including travel time between fields, machine maintenance, and the replacement of net/film, all factored into the total baling time.

Per Frankelius – Associate Professor from the University of Linköping (Agtech Sweden) witnessed the attempt. Utilising the new telematics system “Kverneland Sync,” he and the team members were continuously updated on critical machine parameters and performance indicators via the digital platform “Kverneland FarmCentre.”

“It was great to see and experience such a Non-Stop baling system”, says Oscar Svantesson Mander after driving for the first few hours of the attempt. “It is a lot more comfortable and convenient not having to stop the tractor every minute. We would have never achieved this output if I had to do so.”

FastBale Premium can continuously wrap bales without stopping. The record in Sweden was achieved in real world conditions, including the time moving between fields. Almost 1.1 bales every minute over 24 hours were produced.
