AVR Green Select supports charity

AVR, manufacturer of potato harvesting machines from Belgium, launched its AVR Green Select brand to actively take control of the used machinery market. The first AVR Green Select Days were organized in 2023 to put the launch of this new brand in the spotlight. This year the Green Selects Days on July 5 and 6, includes an auction for the benefit of charity.

The Green Select Days in 2023 increased sales of used machines by more than 50%. This time, the event also marks the opening of the AVR Green Select Centre. The location near the company headquarters in Roeselare Belgium, will now serve as the main base for used machinery and is therefore the location to host this second edition.

During the event, customers can discover the range of used machines at attractive promotional prices. The two-day event will conclude with a charity auction. On Saturday evening July 6th, some of the machines on offer will be auctioned for the benefit of  charity.

“AVR is a family owned business, and we remain a warm and approachable player despite our growth”, says  Sales & Marketing Director Maarten De Smet. “

“We want to take that aspect further. After some internal collections for charity, we were looking for a playful way to take this to the next level”,  AVR Green Select Manager Stein Rommelaere adds. ‘During the AVR Green Select Days, we will combine what is useful and what is meaningful at an auction of used machines. We will donate the proceeds to charity. An AVR machine on the market, a satisfied customer and a donation to charity: win-win-win.”

From 4pm onwards, people can bid on second-hand machines at very attractive prices. And if they buy a machine live at auction, they don’t pay any auction fees.

AVR and auction house Auctim will donate the proceeds and auction fees to the “Warmest Week charity event” in Belgium. “This year, the event is dedicated to the fight against loneliness, an issue that is unfortunately also very topical in the agricultural sector, so we are happy to do our bit to help”, Stein concludes.

Stein Rommelaere: “Quality retains its value, even in a used machine. That is the aim of AVR Green Select: to offer quality at an attractive price.”

Maarten De Smet: “AVR can offer solutions for any budget and any situation, and you can give older machines that are still in perfect working order a second life.”

Interested buyers can join the AVR Green Select auction physically, but bidding by phone is also possible. No registration is need in advance.

The AVR Green Select Centre can be visited by appointment all year round.
