Överum moves on stand-alone

Following CNH’s sale of the Överum plough business to Munich based investment holding Fair-Cap last April, the company now operates independently under the new name Överum Industries AB. The new company will continue to manufacture and supply ploughs and spare parts for the Överum brand, as well as for the New Holland brand through a soft transition approach.

Överum is a specialist manufacturer of soil cultivation machinery.  Their ploughs provide ecological benefits to the soil, thus enhancing crop productivity. Överum ploughs feature large working widths and high maneuverability,  reducing operating costs.

The ownership change was concluded last April. Currently, Överum Industries is completing the carve-out from CNH, while remaining fully operational for the upcoming 2024 season. As an independent stand-alone company, Överum Industries AB, will continue to be headquartered in Sweden and maintain all production operations at its historic facility. This commitment ensures the continued quality of the brand.

Continuity and transition

Överum Industries and CNH are committed to ensuring a soft transition and continuous support to all dealers. Dealers will be able to order New Holland ploughs, granting brand continuity during the transition period. After the transition period, Överum Industries will focus on manufacturing Överum and Agrolux branded ploughs.

Spare parts for both New Holland and Överum brand will continue to be provided, according to existing agreements with CNH and Överum Industries. Överum Industries is committed to support the entire dealer network with ploughs, spare parts and post-sale assistance in order to fulfill any potential need. Furthermore, Överum Industries plans to accelerate investments in R&D, continuously evolving its products to enhance efficiency, durability, and environmental sustainability.

Leadership and vision

Stefano Scalarandis will be in charge as CEO of Överum Industries AB. With a decade of experience in consulting firms and as COO of a mid-sized manufacturing company, Stefano’s goal is to establish Överum Industries as a fully standalone and sustainable business. His focus will be on technological development of ploughs and exploring further innovative products for the agricultural market, all while maintaining Överum’s historic quality through its Swedish operations.

Allan Hansson has been appointed as Head of Sales & Marketing. Allan has 25+ years of experience in the plough market and was previously product manager for the plough division at CNH. He expressed his enthusiasm for his new role, seeing it as a return to his roots, having been responsible for sales at Agrolux, Överum Industries’ second brand. Allan assures that no dealer, whether Överum or New Holland, will be left unsupported during and after the transition.

Soon a new website of Överum Industries will be available,  providing comprehensive information about the company and its future developments. For the time being, a preliminary version of the homepage is available, proving contact information.
