Erkens to lead AGCO EME distribution

Christian Erkens will be appointed Vice President Distribution Management EME for AGCO brands (Europe & Middle East), effective 1 September 2024. Erkens succeeds Jürgen Linder.

Erkens can draw on many years of experience and success in the areas of marketing and sales. In his new role, he and his team will further develop the AGCO dealer network for the EME region. In such a way, that farmers and contractors will be supported even better in the future. To accomplish this, he will work closely with the AGCO sales partners, the individual AGCO brands, their regional sales teams and the After Sales department to further expand the performance of the AGCO dealer network throughout Europe.

After completing his studies in Ansbach, Germany, the industrial engineering graduate joined AGCO in 2002. After various roles in sales and marketing, Christian Erkens took on the role of Country Manager Germany in 2013. In addition to commercial responsibility for all AGCO brands, after sales and service, he was also responsible for dealer development in Germany. In 2015, he took on the role of Director Sales Fendt EME. In this role, he implemented the restructuring and expansion of the dealer network, repositioned the Fendt sales team in Europe and successfully managed the expansion of the Fendt Full-Line product range. With his international team, he made a significant contribution to Fendt’s market share growth in Europe.
