One year before its 175th anniversary, AVR, manufacturer of a full range of machinery for the potato cultivation industry and a global player in that market segment, opens a new subsidiary in Germany.

This new subsidiary will serve as a strategic base of operations for AVR, who aims to provide up-close and prompt assistance to its German customers and dealers, using know-how that will be applied to the local German market.

“Germany is one of the most important potato producing countries in Europe and is therefore an extremely important market for AVR”, explains Stefan Top, managing director of AVR. “As this is a key market for our potato machinery, now and in the future, AVR will additionally and continuously invest in the German market”.

The new branch is located in Uetze, a municipality at the center of an important potato region with a good connection to highways A2 and A7, important connections to other potato areas. This support center will combine commercial, technical and logistic functions. The warehouse that will be created there, for example, will ensure fast delivery of spare parts all over Germany. Furthermore, the extensive German AVR dealer network will be supported by the manufacturer, who will organize local training and share technical know-how.

The AVR expansion into Germany, with its 175th anniversary ahead, comes at a symbolic moment. The company is looking forward to using its ample experience to support the local market.
